CBC vs Harding

Last Saturday CBC Men's Soccer played Harding. The match proved to be extremely intense. From the first kick off to the ending whistle players on both sides of the ball went all out. In the first half the Mustangs were awarded a penalty kick in which Tj Rodriguez made a solid finish to put us up 1-0. We continued into the second half with a 1-0 lead and maintained that lead until the 85th minute or so. After two amazing saves, unfortunately Chance Murphy's shut out was broken when the Harding men put one in the back of the net to tie the game.
Right after the lead was broken, forward, Caleb Dayer had a break away and was pushed down in the goal box. After trying to get up, a Harding defender knocked him down again. He, mistakenly was not awarded a penalty kick, and the ball was given to the Harding goal keeper. As anyone could imagine, this created quite the uproar between Mustang and Bison fans.
The game ended in a tie 1-1.
